John Odafe Asiemo, otherwise known as DADDY Showkey was born to Isoko parents in Delta state. He grew up in the ghetto parts of Ajegunle. He was a big music hit in the 90s

. He is mostly associated with the ghetto singers in Ajegunle such as Baba Fryo.

 He got his nickname through his grandmother’s elder sister’s son who was popularly known as Showboy . Showboy brought him up, so, he had to adopt the name, “Showkid” as a child. But as he grew older, his friends changed it to “Showkey”.

The “Galala King” was the first artist to start the Nigerian Dancehall style. Instead of using the Jamaican patois, Daddy Showkey decided to use Pidgin English for his music and invented a dance style that changed the Nigerian dancehall scene.

He turned 50 last August 4  2020.

Kunle embarked on a charity ride on the 19th of April and hopes to spend 25 days on this journey.

According to him, he plans to use the journey to raise funds to fight Polio in Africa, and to provide water and good sanitation.

The ride is expected to last 25days, spanning a total distance of about 12,000km.

The ride will traverse London – France – Spain – Gibraltar – Morocco – Western Sahara – Mauritania – St Louis – Senegal – Gambia - Mali – Cote d’Ivorie – Ghana – Togo – Benin – Lagos. 

He intends to use the money raised to end Polio.

Rapper And Superfly Actor Kaalan Walker Has Been Found Guilty Of Rape

Rapper and Superfly actor Kaalan Walker has been found guilty of raping multiple women and teens. A Los Angeles County jury found Walker, 27, guilty of the charges on Monday. He was acquitted of an additional three charges, including two charges of forcible rape, according to media reports.

Walker faces a maximum sentence of 100 years to life in prison. He is due back in court on May 27.

Walker also reportedly maintained his innocence in the court room on Monday. According to Rolling Stone, as he was led away in handcuffs, he yelled: “I didn’t rape anybody, your honor.”

Prosecutors said the attacks occurred between 2013 and 2018. Three of the victims were underage.
